Very good homestyle food at a very low price. The service was great and the food didn't take long to get to the table. We have never been disappointed with this restaurant.

Terrible service. 3 out of 4 kids never got their food. Waitress never even came back to the table.

After I left Rockford, I realized I had a tire going down. Stopped in Winnebago to air it up and continued to Freeport, praying to make it home! Tire went flat right in front of Harvest Restaurant. While waiting on repair truck, when in to get out of heat and get lunch. I am positive this all worked out for my good only by the grace of God. The food was wonderful. Atmosphere friendly. Will definitely be stopping in again. Minus the flat tire hopefully. 😁

You'll find delicious, home cooked meals at this family-owned restaurant. I was traveling through the area and made the decision to stop in for dinner. I had the Fried 1/2 Chicken with a salad and baked potato for $8.99, which was super-reasonable. The special of the day was AYCE pasta with meat sauce fur the same price. As you'll see from my pictures, the portion sizes for my meal were large. My salad had homemade croutons that were oh so good, as well as homemade Ranch dressing that was thick, creamy and delicious. The fried chicken was tasty, as was the baked potato. I didn't order a dessert; however, I was told by staff that they purchase their desserts from a local bakery.

Food was good, we had the fish fry buffett.. my 2 younger kids had kids cheese burgers with Fries and one had chicken strips and fries... We waited 45 minutes for their food.... It never came out.. so I had to hunt down our server asked if she knew how much time was left on it... I knew she forgot to put it in... I've been there as a server... so I wasn't to upset.. But then she never comes back to the table!! My kids ended up eatting the Buffett because they were hungry.... it's not the first time we've had bad service.... But they did box up the burgers to go and take it off the bill... but ended up paying $25 for their buffett ... even tho they dont like fish... they had French fries and salad bar for their dinner. .. Not happy

Food was great. We had omelette's. It's kid friendly. Staff was attentive and quick. Food was served in a timely manner. Overall great experience.

We stop here every time we pass through this area. Always good food and service. Today was my first time in a restaurant since the pandemic began. I am in a high risk group so I am very nervous about public contact. Tables were spaced plenty far apart and every booth table and chair was sanitized after use. I hope they survive these tough times. Plenty of room to park my truck and camper.

A nice little gem on 20. The fish fry should not be missed. If you're driving from Chicago to Galena or Iowa, skip the McDonalds and Culver's at Winnebago. It's just a handful of miles further to eat great food here. Plus there slots, if that's your thing.

Good home cooked style food highly recommended. Pleasant and friendly people work it.

The Harvest Restaurant is right off highway 20. Doesn't look like much from the outside (we actually thought it was closed), but the inside is a standard diner. Customer service was excellent; friendly and attentive without hovering.The menu had breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Breakfast is served all day. I got a delicious Mexican omelet with potatoes and pancakes. Booths were comfy, bathrooms clean, and the diner was quiet... Beats going to an off-highway fast-food restaurant! :)

Nice staff, good food! We didn't realize we had stayed after close (about 10 mins) and we weren't even asked to leave! Bless their hearts, they were so sweet! Will return!

I stopped here last week while on a road trip / vacation through some states that way, and my GPS suggested it was time to maybe take a break from driving and suggested this as one of the upcoming places, I'm glad that it did, my breakfast was great, the service was awesome, and the price was right. Def. recommend, and I'll def. be back if I'm ever in the area.

Sunday breakfast buffet was awesome! Pancakes, waffles, sausage gravy and biscuits, french toast, fresh fruit, all the meats, eggs and so much more! Friendly, fast service and didn't have to wait in line. Truly a hidden gem of a place. Specials through the week. Definitely worth a visit.

Hubby and I ate here twice while on work travels. Like another reviewer said we were a tad skeptical as the building doesn't look like much but both times we had excellent service and tasty food! We're from the south so it was nice that they actually offered sweet tea ! 😉 the outside and inside of this place may be a tad outdated but the hospitality you will receive is on point !

We were a little skeptical to stop here since the outside looked a little mediocre but we're so glad we gave it a shot! Besides the food being fantastic, the service was so good! Everyone was very nice and courteous. The food arrived quickly and was very tasty.The inside of the restaurant was cute and clean. They have lots of good options and all-you-can-eat specials thoughout the week. If we're in the area again, we'd definitely stop back!

Easter buffet was wonderful! Great variety and everything was hot, fresh and full. Both staff and food gets five stars from us. We will definitely be back!

Scrambled eggs were overcooked. Nothing special on the menu and it is slightly overpriced compared to other breakfast restaurants.

Our family Loves Harvest, The food is spectacular, the service amazing & we always make a point of having a meal there Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner when ever we go through the area!!

This was a very nice restaurant. The people were friendly and the place was very clean. The hamburger I ordered was done the exact way I asked it to be done and all condiments and side dishes were perfect.I also noticed it every other dish that was brought by me on its way to other tables looked excellent as well. I would highly recommend if you're in the area, and hungry, you stop by and have a meal here. You won't be disappointed.

Always excellent food and service! If you haven't tried the Harvest restaurant, please do. You won't be disappointed. We've gone there almost every week since it 1st opened six or seven years ago

I've had a good burger the last time I was there. The Sunday breakfast buffet is good. All the meals on the menu have been hit or miss.
